Our next featured artwork here at Vampire Empire truly is beautiful work. This lovely female vampire art piece is titled 'Blackroses and Bite Marks' and comes to us from talented United States artist Tom Lavelle.
The word mesmerizing comes to mind when viewing this vamp beauty. I'm not sure if the feel is tragic or inviting. In any event it is stunning.
I love the detailing of the symbols located on the coffin. The embedded detailing of the roses inside the coffin also adds to the beauty of this gorgeous female vampire painting.
The black roses the exquisite female vamp clutches are the perfect touch.
According to the artist, the likeness used for 'Black Roses and Bite Marks' is recording artist and model Mimi Wyler. Loving the pose and expression for the character he had in mind. It was not meant to be a portrait of Mimi, more of a reference for the pose and kind of exotic-like feature's he was looking for in this character.
Tom Lavelle states, "My theme was to try and portray the turning of a new vampire, was going for exotic and alluring expressions that female vamps are known for. My way of painting this was mostly air brush tool, working in layers following my pencil study, this was painted in photoshop 7 using a digital mouse."
