Stephen Moyer True Blood Season 3 Premier Fundraiser Kickoff

Embargoed 12 June
New Fundraiser for
Brentwood Theatre:
International fan site will ‘raise’ a VIRTUAL BRICK WALL!

Brentwood Theatre is delighted to announce a fundraiser in support of the MOYER KIDS THEATRE FUND, launched at the same time as the USA premiere of TRUE BLOOD, Season three! Moyer, yes that is Moyer as in Stephen Moyer. True Blood's very own Vampire Bill.

The BILLSBABES' have created a Virtual Brick Wall, the proceeds of which will truly help bring hundreds more children to experience live theatre!!! We are so honored that these fans of our Patron, Stephen Moyer, developed such a great way for people to support his favorite community theatre!

– You don’t have to be a Billsbabe to buy a “brick” (but you might want to!).

Raise a Virtual Brick Wall Donate a Virtual Brick

Any fan who donates a virtual brick can enter a contest to win one of the prizes signed by Stephen Moyer.

Additionally, Billsbabe tee-shirts and merchandise are available… sales of which very generously come directly to Brentwood, helping the theatre to thrive in this economic climate!

A little history:

‘MOYER KIDS THEATRE FUND’ came about last autumn when fansite wanted to honor Steve Moyer by finding a way to help the theatre the most. The resulting ‘STEVE’S COACH FUND’ (which ran from September to November 2009) raised more than £1500 from fans and other donors who gave amounts large & small to send Happy Birthday greetings on the occasion of our patron’s 40th birthday.

This brought many happy children to THE TWITS – including kids who had never before experienced the fun of live theatre! We cannot say thank you better than the many children who sent touching, happy letters of thanks.

Because of its success, we decided to reinstate the fund in March, to get the ball rolling for the 2010 holiday show, THE PLOTTERS OF CABBAGE PATCH CORNER. We are aiming to raise FIVE THOUSAND pounds to help produce the show, buy tickets, and provide transportation for
children from local schools, reaching even more kids throughout Essex!

Now, for those who don’t know our Steve as the Steve, and who think a Coach is an adult with a whistle supervising sports teams, we thought for clarity’s sake to rename this fund the STEPHEN MOYER CHILDREN’S THEATRE FUND, or the Moyer Kids Theatre Fund!

Brentwood Theatre auctioned several fascinating (and donated) items on eBay –STEPHEN FRY’s autograph, and a HARRY HOUDINI letter –that kicked off the MOYER KIDS THEATRE FUND. We plan to list more on eBay with advance notice (does the name ‘Bram Stoker’ mean anything???)!

If you have any high-quality collectible entertainment- or theatre-related items that you wish to donate, please contact Mark to determine if you have something he truly can list!

And we thank all the fansites in addition to the Billsbabes and who have held
fundraisers in the past: Bills Wikid Women’s successful raffle, and other fans of Stephen Moyer are selling the ELEGIES CDs on behalf of the theatre.

We welcome all ideas in our quest to raise the
much-needed £5,000 for the success of our Holiday production!
When the Billsbabe VIRTUAL BRICK fundraiser closes September 30th, and you still wish to make a donation, you can head to the Brentwood Theatre website, and scroll down to the PayPal link in the centre of the page… And THANK YOU to the Babes and ALL our fans from Steve and everyone at Brentwood Theatre!

About The Brentwood Theatre:

Brentwood Theatre opened in 1993 to provide a professional venue for the many non-professional drama and music groups in Brentwood, Havering and beyond and is packed every week with a huge variety of shows. With a very flexible space accommodating 95 to 299 people, it is an affordable and much loved venue that is receiving acclaim
all over Essex.

In September 2005, the Theatre (an independent registered charity which relies on volunteers to allow it to function) launched an appeal to raise money to complete its backstage area, which was completed in 2008-09. Thanks to a huge team of international supporters through its Patron, Stephen Moyer, the star of True Blood, the Audrey
Longman Studio was outfitted as an intimate, versatile 40-seat studio-theatre.

Theatre administrator Mark Reed is proud to note: “Brentwood Theatre was not only voted the Most Loved Business in Brentwood on, it was named the second Best Loved Theatre in all of the UK!!!

These honours reflect the fact that not only do were provide excellent Theatre, but we also support people with special needs,
learning difficulties, as well as those new to the business of Theatre.

‘Our mission is to provide ‘a vibrant, artistically challenging community theatre’ and we are grateful to our funders
and volunteers whose contributions ensure that we can continue to grow and achieve our aims.’

Thank You for listing the fundraiser!
by: Jean, Vol Fundraising Coordinator, Brentwood Theatre

We very much appreciate your listing this fundraiser to help Stephen Moyer's favourite community theatre! While we are not affiliated with the babes, nor any other fansite, we are grateful that so many fans have chosen to help us raise the moneys to bring as many Essex children as possible to BRENTWOOD THEATRE to attend the Holiday 2010 Show...

Many of these children are from good UK schools whose budgets have cut out field trips... Others are from good schools who never had budget for such 'luxuries' from the start! Every cent donated goes directly into the MOYER KIDS THEATRE FUND -- to help defray costs of this year's show -- THE PLOTTERS OF CABBAGE PATCH CORNER -- plus ticket prices, and safe & proper transportation to and from the theatre.

We will keep you posted on the success as we move forward!! And do enjoy S3: Steve says its the best season yet, and those aren't idle words!
