True Blood Does An Excellent Job

I think True Blood does an excellent job of pulling the viewer in. I first developed an interest in True Blood because of the Charlaine Harris books. Charlaine Harris is an incredible writer and really brings her stories to life.

So I was very excited that they were going to take such a great series of vampire books and turn it in to an HBO show. One of my favorite things about True Blood HBO is that while it’s not exactly like the books they still try to keep it as similar as possible.
It feels like they really analyzed the Charlaine Harris books and found the best way to adapt them to the HBO TV series. I also really like the actors and actresses they selected for their roles in True Blood. For the most part they all match up nicely to the character descriptions in the book.
Anna Paquin makes an excellent Sookie Stackhouse. I also enjoy how well Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard portray Bill Compton and Eric Northman.
The special effects are very nice in this series. It is all surprisingly realistic for a vampire based TV show.
Most shows like this tend to go over board with the special effects. Or they don’t do enough with them and the show ends up being unrealistic.
I think a series like this should pull you in. You should get caught up in the plot and be excited to see what happens next. I think True Blood does an excellent job of pulling the viewer in.
