True Blood Poem 'Crimes'
We met in my world, under unusual circumstances
You caught my attention quickly
I longed to peer into your mind
And learn more about why you go on

I want to know where you stand
In this world of confusion and deceit
Even now, I believe in his innocence
As we descent deeper into madness
We cross into what feels like another world
This vampire society seems so similar, but everything here
Feels too foreign for words
But I'll still do what I can to clear his name
I venture too far,
In the name of living
Exploring the minds of too many
I find myself in danger, with my life on the line
The false fa'ade of confidence falters
Fear only exists in the mind
The strong can escape its agonizing effects
But even after seeing so much death and decay
I can't seem to avoid the poisonous feeling
I try to run, but there's no hope of escape
You came to save me, but at a detrimental price
For you took another vampire's life
The punishment is cruel,
And tumult is abound on all sides of the dispute
Involving an innocent and sending their life into chaos
Is both a heavy guilt and a sin
In this world stained with blood,
On this planet controlled by liars,
Where are we supposed to go?
