These spoilers will spoil just enough without giving too much away.
First, the True Blood Season 3 episode 1 was good, not amazingly awesome but very good. It did contain some mind blowing stuff but Sookie's character didn't have much meat.
This is understandable because, as we all remember, Vampire Bill was kidnapped at the end of True Blood Season 2. Sooooo, Sookie's main role in the first episode of True Blood season three was trying to find him. As well she should.
Jessica, however, was very noticable in this one. Our little Jess is coming into her own and potty mouthing up a storm which made her both funny and quite good.
Werewolves were introduced (already) this season. They were a bit on the creepy side. Verdict is still out on these guys.
Hardcore scene in the dungeon was very hardcore and a actually a bit funny. Worth checking out. Why? We get to see Eric's ass. Eric is HOT in the whole scene.
Now for some people this will excite and for others it will turn off, however it was pretty well done and really stopped before crossing any major lines... OK ready... there was Sam on Bill action. Yes, yes, that's what I said. SAM on BILL action.
It threw me off for a moment until I remembered Sam drank some of Bill's blood at the end of True Blood Season 2 leading to the blood lust dreams. Whew!
Everyone is in consensus... the Jason scene was lame.
Lafayette was amazing as usual. That character is just brilliant.
Also appearing were Tara, Pam and the Queen all leading up to us salavating waiting for True Blood Season 3 episode TWO!
