Vampire Poem - Black Lips
He speaks from a distance,
He walks in the shadows.
Never looking me in the eyes,
showing nothing as to what is.
Keeping to himself,
staying away from word filled airs.
So I walk with him,
saying nothing.
He doesn't seem to notice me,
though what do I expect.
After a while,
he speaks to me.
The words rolling off his perfect lips,
flashing his long white teeth.
Sending chills to my core,
setting fire to my soul.
I look up as you speak to me,
as eyes so cold look me deep.
Not thinking I reach up,
placing my fingertips on your cheek.
The heat burns my hand,
but pure pleasure is left behind.
Here you stand like one of the gods,
and I, nothing more than the rags I wear.
Speaking to me you sit down,
looking up at me.
Fear in my eyes, I look down and away,
as though your a god and whispered.
It is as if an angel has given me hope and then,
reminded me of what I cannot keep.
No mortal human,
can take what I feel and call it their own.
But my hopes found a new,
as fear over powers and weighs my heart to you.
